The Lancashire Procurement Cluster (LPC) is a shared procurement and supply chain service for three of our trusts: Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals and East Lancashire Hospitals.

Created in 2017, it sources and buys clinical and non-clinical products and services on behalf of the trusts and manages the movement of products around the hospitals’ sites.

The service has greater ability to get value for money through economies of scale.

Since being set up, the LPC has delivered over £70m savings back to its member trusts.

Procurement leaders across the system are now working together to agree how to further align the service across all five trusts.
